The Late Bishop Allan Kiuna

BIRTH AND FAMILY BACKGROUND

Bishop Allan Kiuna was born on December 10, 1966, at Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya. He was the first-born child of the late Joseph Wairi of Kamucege, Githunguri Division in Kiambu District, and Lillian Wanjiku of Chorongi Village, Nyeri District. Bishop Allan was the beloved elder brother to Esther Wambui and William Magua. From an early age, his life carried the markings of divine purpose and resilience.

EARLY LIFE AND UPBRINGING

Bishop Allan’s childhood was forged in the gritty neighborhoods of Jericho, Maringo, and Kariobangi, environments often riddled with illicit brews, crime, and hardship. From these tough beginnings, he emerged as a young man of strength, courage, and responsibility. He took up boxing, not out of sport, but as a means to protect himself and especially his sister, Wambui. His difficult environment could have broken many, but for Bishop Allan, it became the crucible in which a destiny was shaped — one not defined by background, but by purpose and faith.

EDUCATION

Bishop Allan began his education in 1972 at Lumumba Social Hall Nursery. He then attended Khalsa Primary, Uhuru Estate Primary, and finally Kimathi Estate Primary School, where he completed his primary education in 1979.

In 1980, he joined Ofafa Jericho Secondary School, and later proceeded to Parklands Boys High School for his A-level studies, completing in 1986. Pursuing a professional path, he enrolled at the School of Professional Studies in 1988 to study Certified Public Accountancy (CPA). His sharp intellect and discipline were evident in both his academic and spiritual growth.

SPIRITUAL CONVERSION AND CALLING

At the age of 19, Bishop Allan Kiuna gave his life to Jesus Christ under the mentorship of the revered Rev. Teresia Wairimu of Faith Evangelistic Ministry. That moment marked the beginning of a remarkable journey of faith. Rev. Wairimu became a spiritual mother to him, nurturing his early walk with God and igniting in him a passion for ministry.

His connection with Rev. Wairimu was not just mentorship — it was divine alignment. Inspired by her example, Bishop Allan developed a hunger for God that shaped his worldview and defined the rest of his life. His desire to emulate her faith and zeal gave birth to a bold, compelling vision that would impact the nations.

MARRIAGE AND FAMILY LIFE

In December 1993, Bishop Allan met the love of his life, Kathy Kiuna. Their love story blossomed quickly, and by December 1994, they were joined in holy matrimony. Their marriage was not only a union of hearts but a powerful ministry partnership.

Together, they became an exemplary couple — passionate, loving, and deeply devoted to each other and the call of God. For almost 30 years, they remained inseparable best friends, lovers, ministry partners, and spiritual parents to many. Their relationship radiated joy and affection, both in private and public life.

They were blessed with three wonderful children:

  • Vanessa Wambui Kiuna-Kovacs

  • Stephanie Wanjiku Kiuna

  • Jeremy Wairi Kiuna

He was a proud father-in-law to Robert Kovacs and Nathan Wuellner, and a joyful grandfather to:

  • Nia Giselle Kiuna-Kovacs

  • Amanda Maria Wuellner

  • Ethan Allan Wuellner

  • Naomi Kui Kiuna-Kovacs

Bishop Allan was a present, affectionate, and wise father and grandfather — a man whose love knew no bounds.

CAREER AND MINISTRY

Bishop Allan began his professional journey in the banking sector as an accountant. Later, he ventured into business with his wife. However, the call of God on his life became undeniable and overwhelmingly clear. With boldness, they closed the business to fully embrace the ministry.

In 1999, Bishop Allan and Rev. Kathy Kiuna founded Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), planting the first sanctuary in Parklands, Nairobi. What began as a humble congregation quickly grew into a dynamic, global movement. Today, JCC has branches across Kenya, the United Kingdom, the United States, Burundi, and other parts of the world — a testament to the vision and apostolic grace upon Bishop Allan’s life.

APOSTOLIC LEADERSHIP AND GLOBAL IMPACT

Bishop Allan Kiuna was more than a pastor — he was a father in the faith, an apostolic voice, an author, and a prophetic teacher. He ministered boldly, with unwavering faith and supernatural expectation. His sermons were marked by deep revelation, Kingdom principles, and a contagious belief in God’s power to transform lives.

Under his leadership, JCC became a training ground for Kingdom champions — empowering believers to walk in faith, purpose, prosperity, and divine health.

AUTHORSHIP AND WRITINGS

Bishop Allan authored several powerful books that continue to equip and transform readers globally. His teachings reflected his core values — faith, financial stewardship, spiritual authority, and personal development. Notable titles include:

  • Appointment With Destiny

  • Promises Guidebook

  • Living in Financial Distinction

  • Finishing Strong

These works are a legacy in themselves, speaking even beyond his earthly journey.

ILLNESS AND TRANSITION

Bishop Allan Kiuna enjoyed good health for most of his life. However, around 2018, he was diagnosed with a health condition that marked the beginning of a challenging yet faith-filled chapter. Through it all, he remained strong in spirit, surrounded by the unshakable love and care of his devoted wife and family.

On the morning of Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at around 10:00 AM, Bishop Allan Kiuna was called home to glory, in the arms of the Lord he had faithfully served for over four decades. He transitioned peacefully, with Reverend Kathy Kiuna by his side — his partner in life and ministry to the very end.

He was laid to rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at JCC Paradise, located along Kiambu Road, Kiambu County — a resting place befitting a general in the Kingdom of God.

A LEGACY THAT LIVES ON

Bishop Allan’s legacy is deeply etched in the hearts of millions across the world. From the countless lives transformed through JCC, to the marriages he helped restore, the leaders he raised, and the ministries he birthed, his impact will endure for generations.

Today, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna leads Jubilee Christian Church as the Visionary Apostle, continuing the assignment they birthed together with renewed strength and divine focus.

FINAL WORDS

Bishop Allan Kiuna lived a life of faith, purpose, and impact. He walked with power, loved deeply, led boldly, and finished strong. Though he is no longer with us in the physical realm, his voice echoes through his teachings, his vision lives on through JCC, and his spirit continues to inspire Kingdom believers worldwide. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

Rest well, Bishop Allan Kiuna — God’s faithful servant, loving husband, devoted father, fearless general, and apostolic trailblazer.

My tribute is not Rest In Peace, it is See You Soon here on earth The Big Man Bishop Allan Kiuna, you were not done with your assignment and that is why you had to die. Your assignment here on earth has to do with your death and greatly on that note. Death in the Kingdom of God for some of us in it happens because we should come back to life, for some of us. God gave the story of the dry bones prophesy because it is going to happen in the church in these last days that a sign that we are in the last days that men of God who have died and will die, will be raised up from the dead having died a long time. That was the partially the relevance of that move of God in those days of old. Some of those miracles in the old testament have to happen in the new testament, I believe the Lord is revealing to me. I know of these churches globally are in the book of Ezekiel in dry bones prophecy part of it. It had to be in the old testament, so it can be in the church, and that is why it is in the new testament — the raising up of the dead. God has revealed to me that some of the men of God that are dead will be raised, no matter how long they have died. JCC has to behold this truth and it will happen.
